Hey guys! Welcome to another blog post.

It is officially Wrestlemania week so, this week, I am doing my Wrestlemania 42 - which is this Saturday & Sunday - predictions. As always, my predictions are not in order from which match is first to last. I'm just getting these from wikipedia. I'm posting this a little early this week because I'm going away this weekend & I'm not sure if I'll have time to post it this weekend (but I will be watching Wrestlemania). So, let's get into it.

Wrestlemania Saturday

The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) & La Knight vs the Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) & iShowSpeed
The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) & La Knight vs the Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) & iShowSpeed

The first match confirmed so far is the Usos & La Knight vs the Vision & iShowSpeed which will be kicking off Wrestlemania Saturday. Some of y'all might think I'm crazy for this prediction butttt, I can see iShowSpeed somehow picking up the win. He has been practicing & I can also see him kind of surprising us. So, I'm going with the Vision & iShowSpeed.

Drew McIntyre vs Jacob Fatu
Drew McIntyre vs Jacob Fatu

The next match is Drew McIntyre vs Jacob Fatu in an unsanctioned match.

I think Jacob is going to win this match because I think Smackdown needs another top babyface to challenge for the world title & I would love to see Jacob win the world championship. So, having Jacob win would kind of kick things off in a way. Also, apparently, Drew is taking some time off after Wrestlemania to film Highlander.

Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Liv Morgan
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Liv Morgan

The next match is Stephanie Vaquer vs Liv Morgan for the women's world championship.

This is one of the matches I'm most excited for because this feud has gotten so deep & so personal. As for the winner, I'm expecting Raquel to turn on Liv in the future so I can see this going two different ways. Either with Liv winning the title this weekend & Raquel turning on her to set up this big match at another event or Raquel could turn on Liv & cost her the title this weekend which would result in Stephanie winning. However, after thinking extremely hard about it (this is probably one of the hardest matches for me to predict), I think I'm going to go with Liv Morgan winning this weekend for two reasons:

  1. She obviously has the judgment day in her corner & they will more than likely get involved.

  2. Liv eliminated Raquel from the Royal Rumble & basically cost her her shot at winning the women's title & claiming that "a win for the judgment day is a win for all". So, having Liv win the title at Wrestlemania could set up this feud with Raquel leading into another event.

AJ Lee (c) vs Becky Lynch
AJ Lee (c) vs Becky Lynch

The next match is AJ Lee vs Becky Lynch for the women's intercontinental championship.

This is another match I'm having a hard time predicting because I can see both women winning. However, I think I'm going to go with AJ Lee because there are a few women who are - apparently - supposed to be called up from NXT after Wrestlemania. Women like Jacy Jane, Blake Monroe, etc. So, I would love to see those women wrestle AJ Lee for the title. It could be kind of like a oldie (AJ's not really old but you know what I mean LOL) vs newbie type of thing.

Ring Queens (Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss) vs Irresistible Forces (Lash Legend & Nia Jax) (c) vs The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella) vs Lyra Valkyria & Bayley
Ring Queens (Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss) vs Irresistible Forces (Lash Legend & Nia Jax) (c) vs The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella) vs Lyra Valkyria & Bayley

The next match is a fatal four way tag team match for the women's tag team championship.

The teams involved are the Ring Queens, Irresistible Forces, the Bella Twins, & Lyra Valkyria & Bayley.

I think the Bellas are going to win because I am expecting a heel turn during this match either between Alexa & Charlotte or Bayley & Lyra or, if WWE is planning a big shocker during this match, maybe both. So, that leaves the Irresistible Forces & the Bellas. This also may be the Bella Twins' last run in WWE (that I've heard) so, I would love to see them win tag team gold before they retire.

Seth Rollins vs Gunther
Seth Rollins vs Gunther

The next match is Seth Rollins vs Gunther. This match could possibly be the best match of the entire weekend because both Seth & Gunther are incredible performers. I just wish there was more of a storyline built for this match but I'm excited for this match nontheless.

I also read online that apparently, this match wasn't even supposed to happen. The original plan was for Seth to face Bron Breakker & for Gunther to face & retire Rey Mysterio (thank God that's not happening LOL). However, due to injury, both matches have been scrapped & Seth is facing Gunther instead.

As for my prediction, I am going with Gunther because although, Seth vs Bron isn't happening this weekend, I am expecting Bron Breakker to return & cost Seth the win which would start the Seth vs Bron feud.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs Randy Orton
Cody Rhodes (c) vs Randy Orton

The final match of Wrestlemania Saturday is Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton for the undisputed WWE championship. If Randy loses, Pat McAfee will leave WWE.

This is without a doubt the hardest match for me to predict. I keep going back & forth all of the time but I think I'm going to go with Randy Orton because I feel like it's been a very long time since he's held a title & I think he deserves another run as WWE champion. He also has Pat in his corner & while I do think someone will come out & help Cody, with Randy turning heel recently, I can see him going to some dark places to get the win.

Wrestlemania Sunday

Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi
Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi

Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi is another match I'm very excited for & it's also the match that will be kicking off Wrestlemania Sunday.

As for my prediction, I am kind of expecting this to be kind of a squash match. Yes, both men are absolute beasts & both men are capable of winning this match but, Oba challenged Brock & he hasn't had many matches yet since being called up to the main roster so, I can see him surprisingly squashing Brock in less than 3 minutes (kind of like Goldberg at Survivor Series in 2016).

JD McDonagh vs Dragon Lee vs Penta (c) vs Je'Von Evans vs Rey Mysterio vs Rusev
JD McDonagh vs Dragon Lee vs Penta (c) vs Je'Von Evans vs Rey Mysterio vs Rusev

The next match is a ladder match for the intercontinental championship. The participants are JD McDonagh, Dragon Lee, Penta, Je'Von Evans, Rey Mysterio, Rusev. This is another match I'm excited for mostly because of the high-flyers in this match. I think we are going to see some crazy stuff (especially from Je'Von Evans). As for the winner, I think Penta is going to win simply because I just can't see any of the others winning the title right now. I do like everyone in this match, though so I, personally, don't really care who wins. I'll be happy either way.

Jade Cargill (c) vs Rhea Ripley
Jade Cargill (c) vs Rhea Ripley

The next match is Jade Cargill vs Rhea Ripley for women's championship. I can see both women winning but I think I'm going to go with Jade because Bianca Belair is currently on the shelf with a broken finger & I would love to see Jade face Bianca (when she does return) for the title. Jade also has B-Fab & Michin in her corner so they will more than likely interfere.

Sami Zayn (c) vs Trick Williams
Sami Zayn (c) vs Trick Williams

The next match is Sami Zayn vs Trick Williams for the United States championship.

I think Trick Williams is going to win because the man is a rising star. He's getting main event level reactions from the crowd. Sami Zayn, on the other hand, seems to be in the middle of a slow heel turn. Trick winning would push Trick to the next level & it would also lead to Sami turning heel & maybe attacking Trick after the match. Having Trick win would also give the crowd a win that they're clamoring for.

Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio
Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio

The next match is "Demon" Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio.

This is probably the easiest match for me to predict because, I mean, it's the demon & in his whole career, Finn has only lost a match as the demon once which was against Samoa Joe back in 2016. Also, Dominik is cursed by Danhausen at the moment so, I really don't see Finn losing. I'm going with Finn Balor.

CM Punk (c) vs Roman Reigns
CM Punk (c) vs Roman Reigns

The final match of Wrestlemania weekend is CM Punk vs Roman Reigns for the world heavyweight championship. Both of these men are two of my favorite wrestlers of all time so, I don't really care who wins.

As for my prediction, I'm going to go with CM Punk because he lost his first Wrestlemania main event last year & as champion, I don't think he should lose this year, too. I think it would be kind of harsh if he lost his first singles main event on the grandest stage of them all especially after all of the work he's put in. Roman's schedule also might help push things Punk's way. WWE can't afford to half the belt on the OTC for long if he's not going to appear on weekly programming more than he has. Plenty of other stars are waiting for a shot at Punk. Seth, Gunther, or maybe even Brock or Oba. I love Roman but I don't see him winning the title this weekend.

Those are all of my predictions. I will post all of these on YouTube later today as well as on Instagram & X during the kickoff shows on both Saturday & Sunday. I will also give you guys the chance to voice your predictions as well.

You can watch Wrestlemania Saturday & Sunday on Netflix 6pm ET (7:30pm NL time) both nights with the pre-show starting 3pm ET (4:30pm NL time) & the post show on 10:30pm ET (12am NL time) on YouTube also on Saturday & Sunday.

Until next time,

~Brianna.
