DWTS 35 Recap: Yacht Rock Night
Hey guys! Welcome to this week's DWTS recap. This week was yacht rock night which is basicallly just soft rock.
So, let's get into it.
Dance: Foxtrot
Song: "Hold the Line" by Toto
Judges' scores: 8, 8, 8 = 24/30
My score: 8
This was amazing & I loved the choreo. I will say I preferred their Tango over this but I still loved this dance a lot.

Dance: Salsa
Song: "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)" by Hall & Oates
Judges' scores: 6, 7, 6 = 19/30
My score: 6.5
I liked this a lot & I think this was her best dance so far. Still a bit stiff & needs a bit of work but I still enjoyed it & loved the choreo.

Dance: Foxtrot
Song: "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" by Rupert Holmes
Judges' scores: 5, 5, 5 = 15/30
My score: 5
I love Guillermo & he is improving week by week. I thought this was cute & fun but not my favorite of the night.

Dance: Quickstep
Song: "Maneater" by Hall & Oates
Judges' scores: 7, 7, 7 = 21/30
My score: 7
This is 100% her best dance so far & it's not even close. Still needs a bit of work, though.

Dance: Jive
Song: "You Make My Dreams (Come True)" by Hall & Oates
Judges: scores: 8, 8, 8 = 24/30
My score: 8
Of course, this was incredible & queen Jenna killed it with the choreo. I don't really have anything bad to say about this. He ate & I agreed with the scores.

Song: "What a Fool Believes" by the Doobie Brothers
Judges' scores: 6, 6, 6 = 18/30
My score: 6.5
Like Tatyana, I think this was his best dance. He glided across the floor & he was so elegant & smooth. His frame was nice, too.
I feel so bad for them & I'm still pissed about their elimination.

Dance: Quickstep
Song: "Turn Your Love Around" by George Benson
Judges' scores: 7, 7, 8 = 22/30
My score: 7
This was great & I think she's one of the front-runners. However, this was just a bit underwhelming for me & I was kind of expecting more.

Dance: Cha Cha
Song: "Never Too Much" by Luther Vandross
Judges' scores: 6, 6, 6 = 18/30
My score: 6
This wasn't bad at all. I think it was her best dance so far. However, it was just kind of boring to me, tbh.

Dance: Paso Doble
Song: "Easy Lover" by Phillip Bailey & Phil Collins
Judges' scores: 6, 6, 6 = 18/30
My score: 6.5
Okay, I've watched this dance a BUNCH of times already & I don't think it's as bad as the judges made it seem. I actually really liked it! It wasn't incredible but it definitely wasn't bad at all. I also think it should've gotten at least one 7.

Dance: Foxtrot
Song: "Everywhere" by Fleetwood Mac
Judges' scores: 7, 6, 7 = 20/30
My score: 6.5
First of all, they looked incredible. Rylee literally looked like a barbie.
I loved the choreo & while it was one of his best dances technique-wise, it wasn't my personal favorite of theirs.
I still liked it a lot, though.

Dance: Samba
Song: "Africa" by Toto
Judges' scores: 7, 7, 7 = 21/30
My score: 8
This was definitely my favorite dance of the nice. I loved the choreo & she ate those samba whisks right up. There was a little stumble but other than that, this was incredible.

Dance: Jive
Song: "Still the One" by Orleans
Judges' scores: 5, 6, 6 = 17/30
My score: 6
This was fun & I liked the choreo. It just wasn't very memorable to me & he still needs a bit of work.

Dance: Foxtrot
Song: "Just the Two of Us" by Grover Washington Jr. feat. Bill Withers
Judges' scores: 7, 7, 7 =21/30
My score: 7
One thing about Ezra & Dani is they are going to nail their performances every single week & they have not disappointed me yet. This wasn't my favorite dance of theirs but it was still incredible & I loved the choreo.
