DWTS 35 Recap: Viral Hits Night
Hey guys! Welcome to this week's DWTS recap. This week was viral hits night.

Dance: Jive

My score: 8
This was insane & they looked incredible! One of my best jives I've seen in a while. I also loved the choreo.

Song: "No Broke Boys" by Disco Lines & Tinashe
Judges' scores: 6, 6, 6 = 18/30
My score: 6
This was definitely better than last week. She seemed more confident & not as nervous or in her head as last week. It was good, just not the best dance of the night.

Dance: Salsa
Song: "Girls" by the Kid Laroi

My score: 5.5
Okay, this was pretty good & I did like it. However, there wasn't a whole lot of salsa content, imo. I feel like it was more lifts & being sexy (which I have NO issues with lol).

Dance: Tango
Song: "The Door" by Teddy Swims
Judges' scores: 5, 6, 5 = 16/30
My score: 6
Initially, I was so excited for this dance solely because I LOVE this song lol! It was really good & her frame was pretty good. There was a couple mistakes & I didn't love it as much as last week but it was still pretty good. I do think the 5s were a bit too harsh, though but hey, I'm not a judge or a professional dancer so what do I know?

Dance: Foxtrot

Definitely an improvement from last week & I loved the choreo!

Someone said that Alan is a shit choreographer. Like no, girl, a fish can choreograph better than you so sit down, child.
Anyway, I actually liked the choreo. I thought it was fun. a lot of salsas that i've seen in the past were sexy & sultry which, yes, I love a spicy salsa, but it was kind of nice to see a cute & fun one for a change. Giada did make some mistakes but I loved watching her dance. Also, this may be an unpopular opinion but, I think she should've gotten at least one 5.

My score: 6
First of all, I LOVE this song! As for the dance, while I did really like it, I didn't love it as much as last week. Despite the little stumble, it was good but it wasn't my favorite of the night.

HOLY FRECH THIS WAS AMAZING!!!!! Best dance of the season so far (imo). This was so much fun to watch. Queen Dani killed it with the choreo as always. I've already watched this like 5000 times & I'm obsessed! Also underscored (imo).

Holy improvement! Not my favorite of the night & still needs a bit of work but I vote her the most improved. Also, the ending with the mirror gave me chills.

The fact that this didn't get a single 8 is beyond me! It was so sharp & her frame was nice. I loved the choreo & the meaning behind it.

Dance: Paso Doble

My score: 4.5
This was definitely better than last week. Still needs some improvement but I loved watching this & he nailed basically every step.

Dance: Cha Cha
Song: "Cake by the Ocean" by DNCE
Judges' scores: 5, 5, 5 = 15/30
My score: 5
This was probably my least favorite dance of the night (no shade to Taylor or Britt). Don't get me wrong, I still liked it. It just didn't stand out to me like the rest of the dances & at the end of the season, I can see myself completely forgetting about this dance. However, I will say that he is one of the most surprising (pleasantly) celebs this year. I was not expecting him to be this good, tbh. He just needs to work on his arms but the potential is there.
On the other hand, I haven't rewatched many of these dances yet. I've only rewatched Ezra & Dani's (OBSESSED) and Amber & Pasha's so I may end up liking this dance when I rewatch it but as of now, this is where it stands in my rankings before rewatching it.
again, no shade to Taylor or Britt. I adore both of them.

Dance: Viennese Waltz
Song: "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls
Judges' scores: 6, 6, 6 = 18/30
My score: 7.5
Obviously, this was amazing but a little underwhelming for me. One of my coworkers LOVES dwts just as much as I do & when I found out he was dancing the viennese waltz to "Iris", I said to her "I fear we might see the first 9s in week 2". Obviously, we didn't & I was feeling a tad underwhelmed. I still loved it, though & I feel like they were a bit underscored.

Dance: Cha Cha
Song: "September" by Earth, Wind, & Fire
Judges' scores: 6, 6, 7 = 19/30
My score: 6.5
This was obviously incredible but not as good as last week. I feel like her footwork was a tiny bit messy at times (that might just be me lol) & you can see she struggled a bit during rehearsals but she's still incredible & she's definitely one of the front runners.
