Hey guys! Welcome to my DWTS Wicked Night recap. This week, all couples danced to songs from Wicked. Director, Jon M. Chu was the guest judge.

Let's get into it.

Scott & Rylee
Scott & Rylee

Dance: Contemporary

Song: "The Wizard & I" by Cynthia Erivo & Michelle Yeoh

Judges' scores: 7, 7, 7, 7 = 28/40

My score: 7.5

I liked this but it was a bit underwhelming for me. His legs were a little wobbly & some of the lifts were kind of messy. I liked the choreo, though.

Alix & Val
Alix & Val

Dance: Jazz

Song: "What Is This Feeling?" by Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo

Judges' scores: 9, 9, 8, 9 = 35/40

My score: 8.5

This was really good but it was just kind of boring to me & I wouldn't say it was her best dance.

Robert & Witney
Robert & Witney

Dance: Jazz

Song: "Dancing Through Life" by Jonathan Bailey feat. Ariana Grande, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, & Cynthia Erivo

Judges' scores: 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36/40

My score: 10

WHAT DOES MY MAN HAVE TO DO TO GET A 10?????? The past two weeks, he's been underscored & both this week & last week, he deserved at least one 10. This dance was pretty flawless IMO. It was so fun & I loved every second of it.

Whitney & Mark
Whitney & Mark

Dance: Quickstep

Song: "Popular" by Ariana Grande

Judges' scores: 10, 9, 10, 10 = 39/40

My score: 10

Okay, I do agree that this dance deserved a 10. However, I do feel that Robert's dance was slightly better & if Whitney got a 10, Robert should've gotten a 10, too.

With that being said, yes, this dance was also pretty flawless. Her frame was great. She was light on her feet & I loved the choreo.

Dylan & Daniella
Dylan & Daniella

Dance: Rumba

Song: "I'm Not That Girl" by Cynthia Erivo

Judges' scores: 8, 8, 8, 8 = 32/40

My score: 8.5

Honestly, Dylan is probably the most impressive celebrity this season. Before this season started, I honestly didn't expect him to be this good. His lines were nice & his hips are out of this world. It deserved at least one 9, IMO.

Andy & Emma
Andy & Emma

Dance: Jazz

Song: "One Short Day" by Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Kristin Chenoweth, & Idina Menzel feat. Michael McCorry Rose

Judges' scores: 7, 6, 7, 7 = 27/40

My score: 6.5

This is definitely his best dance & it's not even close! It was fun & I liked the choreo! He's still just a bit stiff & stompy.

Elaine & Alan
Elaine & Alan

Dance: Contemporary

Song: "Defying Gravity" by Cynthia Erivo feat. Ariana Grande

Judges' scores: 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36/40

My score: 10

This is definitely her best dance so far & the fact that this didn't even get one 10 is beyond me.

Jen & Jan
Jen & Jan

Dance: Foxtrot

Song: "As Long As You're Mine" by Cynthia Erivo & Jonathan Bailey

Judges' scores: 8, 8, 8, 8 = 32/40a

My score: 8

This is definitely her best dance so far. However, her frame & footwork still needs a bit of work.

Danielle & Pasha
Danielle & Pasha

Dance: Argentine Tango

Song: "No Good Deed" by Cynthia Erivo

Judges' scores: 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36/40

My score: 8.5

This is definitely her best dance so far. Her legs were really nice & I loved the choreo. It could've been a bit sharper (to me) & it kind of lacked energy IMO but I still loved it.

Jordan & Ezra
Jordan & Ezra

Dance: Rumba

Song: "For Good" by Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande

Judges' scores: 10, 9, 10, 10 = 39/40

My score: 9.5

First of all, I'm so happy for Ezra! He deserves those 10s so much! Anyways, as for the dance, I loved it but it wasn't my favorite of the night.

Now that I've covered all the dances, here are my rankings based on personal enjoyment:

  1. Robert & Witney's Jazz

  2. Whitney & Mark's Quickstep

  3. Elaine & Alan's Contemporary

  4. Danielle & Pasha's Argentine Tango

  6. Jordan & Ezra's Rumba

  7. Scott & Rylee's Contemporary

  8. Dylan & Daniella's Rumba

  9. Jen & Jan's Foxtrot

  10. Andy & Emma's Jazz

That's it for this week's DWTS recap.

Until next time,

~Brianna.
