Hey guys! Welcome to my first DWTS recap of the year. I'm so excited for this season!

This week was the premiere so, I will be covering all dances - including the songs, the scores, etc. - & I will be ranking all dances based on personal enjoyment & at the end of this post, I will be listing all dances + songs for next week.

Before I get into it, I do want to point out that Carrie Ann was sick so their were only two judges this week.

Jordan & Ezra's Salsa
Jordan & Ezra's Salsa

Dance: Salsa

Song: "Break My Soul" by Beyonce

Judges' scores" 5, 5 = 10/20

My score - 6

I liked this dance & the choreo. I also feel like the 5s were wayyyyy too low. She's obviously better than Anna Delvey (no offense, Anna). However, this was a Salsa & I wish their was more Salsa content. I just kind of looked more like a TikTok dance to me, honestly.

Dylan & Daniella's Cha Cha
Dylan & Daniella's Cha Cha

Dance: Cha Cha

Song: "Milkshake" by Kelis

Judges' scores: 5, 5 = 10/20

My score: 6

This was amazing! I didn't think he would be as good as he was. His lines were nice & the hip action was crazy. He just needs to work on his musicality more & he would be almost perfect.

Elaine & Alan's Cha Cha
Elaine & Alan's Cha Cha

Dance: Cha Cha

Song: "Woman" by Kesha feat. the Dap-Kings Horns

Judges' scores: 6, 6 = 12/20

My score: 7

This is probably the most impressive dance of the night for me. I loved the choreo & she can MOVE! She was a little bit stiff in some places but this is one of the dances that I haven't stopped watching since the premiere.

Whitney & Mark's Tango
Whitney & Mark's Tango

Dance: Tango

Song: "Golden" by Huntr/x

Judges' scores: 7, 8 = 15

My score: 7.5

Honestly, Mark choreographs some of the best dances on DWTS. They ate this right up. She moved & danced so fabulously & I'm excited to see her latin dances.

Baron & Britt's Cha Cha
Baron & Britt's Cha Cha

Dance: Cha Cha

Song: "U Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer

Judges' scores: 5, 5 = 10/20

My score: 6

This was honestly very surprising. He was A LOT better than I thought he was going to be. I loved the choreo & this was so much fun to watch. His technique needs a bit of work but I'm very impressed.

Alix & Val's Cha Cha
Alix & Val's Cha Cha

Dance: Cha Cha

Song: "Circus" by Britney Spears

Judges' scores: 7, 6 = 13/20

My score: 6.5

This is another dance that pleasantly surprised me. She had great lines & legs. She was just a little bit stiff in some places.

Scott & Rylee's Tango
Scott & Rylee's Tango

Dance: Tango

Song: "Abracadabra" by Lady Gaga

Judges' scores: 5, 5 = 10/20

My score: 6

I liked it more upon rewatch & I liked the choreo. However, his frame needs a bit of work & I think there was a little gap in between them when they were in frame, but it was still fun to watch.

Danielle & Pasha's Tango
Danielle & Pasha's Tango

Dance: Tango

Song: "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" by Kelly Clarkson

Judges' scores: 6, 6 = 12/20

My score: 6

She has SO much potential, it's actually crazy. She's a beautiful dancer & her frame was nice. She just need to hits the moves a bit harder.

Jen & Jan's Salsa
Jen & Jan's Salsa

Dance: Salsa

Song: "Nuevayol" by Bad Bunny

Judges' scores: 6, 6 = 12/20

My score: 6.5

I loved the choreo & the lifts were cool. She performed this very well & she has a lot of potential. However, some of the lifts kind of slowed down the routine a bit but I still loved it.

Corey & Jenna's Tango
Corey & Jenna's Tango

Dance: Tango

Song: "It's Still Rock & Roll to Me" by Billy Joel

Judges' scores: 4, 5 = 9/10

My score: 5

I honestly kind of liked this. I had fun watching it. It was just a bit stompy & his frame needs a bit of work. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either.

Lauren & Brandon's Tango
Lauren & Brandon's Tango

Dance: Tango

Song: "Yes, And?" by Ariana Grande

Judges' scores: 7, 6 = 13/20

My score: 7.5

This was amazing & it's one of my favorite dances from the premiere. Her lines were nice & her frame was beautiful. The ending kind of threw me off a bit, but I still loved it.

Andy & Emma's Cha Cha
Andy & Emma's Cha Cha

Dance: Cha Cha

Song: "Hold On, I'm Comin'" by Sam & Dave

Judges' scores: 5, 4 = 9/20

My score: 5

Just like Corey's dance, this wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I had fun watching it & he's just so lovable.

Hilaria & Gleb's Cha Cha
Hilaria & Gleb's Cha Cha

Dance: Cha Cha

Song: "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez

Judges' scores: 7, 7 = 14/20

My score: 8

I mean, I knew she was going to be great (have you seen her TikToks?) & she didn't disappoint. I have been watching this non-stop since the premiere. The sad thing is, although she is amazing, so many people want her eliminated in the first week. She's an incredible dancer & if she had the votes, I could see her going very far. She's freaking phenomenal.

Robert & Witney's Jive
Robert & Witney's Jive

Dance: Jive

Song: "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf

Judges' score: 8, 7 = 15/30

My score: 8

I just know Bindi is so proud! I still can't believe he was a good as he was & I just want to know what secret dance gene is running through this family's blood because HOW??????? This was freaking incredible & he is about kick the Tango in the ass tonight. I'm obsessed!

Choreo was amazing as per usual (*cough* Witney).
