Hey guys! Welcome to this week's DWTS recap. This week was dedication night. Each couple performed a dance dedicated to someone special in their lives & the person they dedicated their dance to appeared in their dance. I really hope the bring this back next year but it was really nice to see & I loved every second of it.

Andy & Emma
Andy & Emma

Dance: Salsa

Song: "Jump In the Line" by Harry Belafonte

Dedicated to: his daughter, Cornelia

Judges' scores: 6, 6, 6, 6 = 24/40

My score: 6

I definitely think this is one of his better dances. It was just a bit stiff & flat footed.

Robert & Witney
Robert & Witney

Dance: Contemporary

Song: "You'll Be in My Heart" by Phil Collins

Dedicated to" his mom, Terri

Judges' scores: 8, 9, 9, 9 = 35/40

My score: 10

IMO, this is the best dance of the season so far & it was extremely underscored. They were so in sync, he had beautiful lines & extensions through his feet. His dad would be so proud!

Elaine & Alan
Elaine & Alan

Dance: Foxtrot

Song: "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" by Natalie Cole

Dedicated to: her best friend & The Parent Trap co-star, Lisa Ann Walter

Judges' scores: 8, 7, 7, 8 = 30/40

My score: 8

This was so cute! I also feel like the 7s were a bit too low. This should've gotten at least all 8s, IMO. I liked the entire dance. It just kind of fell off once Lisa joined but it was still very cute & a lot of fun to watch.

Also, GET LISA ANN WALTER ON SEASON 35!!!

Whitney & Mark
Whitney & Mark

Dance: Contemporary

Song: "Heal" by Jamal Roberts

Dedicated to: her husband, Conner

Judges' scores: 9, 8, 8, 8 = 33/40

My scores: 9

This was amazing & I loved the storytelling. I was going to give this dance a 10 until they got out of sync.

Jen & Jan
Jen & Jan

Dance: Viennese Waltz

Song: "Rescue" by Lauren Daigle

Dedicated to: her mother, Maria

Judges' scores: 8, 7, 7, 7 = 29/40

My score: 8

This is definitely her best dance, IMO. I also think she's a ballroom girlie. Her frame was pretty good & her lines were nice. I just think she was a bit too light on her feet for a Viennese Waltz. She just need to push her feet into the ground a bit more.

Dylan & Daniella
Dylan & Daniella

Dance: Contemporary

Song: "Rewrite the Stars" by Zac Efron & Zendaya

Dedicated to: his little sister, Olivia

Judges' scores: 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36/40

My score: 9

This is definitely his best dance by a landslide. I just feel like it's missing something & I'm waiting for his breakthrough performance like he's saying "I mean business & I'm here to stay."

Jordan & Ezra
Jordan & Ezra

Dance: Viennese Waltz

Song: "Daughters" by John Mayer

Dedicated to: her father, Timothy

Judges' scores: 8, 8, 8, 8 = 32/40

My score: 8

This was beautiful! I do wish Jordan & Ezra danced together a bit more but her dancing with her dad was so lovely & so special that I didn't really care that much.

I love Timothy.

Scott & Rylee
Scott & Rylee

Dance: Foxtrot

Song: "Parallel" by Scott Hoying

Dedicated to: his husband, Mark

Judges' scores: 7, 8, 7, 8 = 30/40

My score: 7.5

I do think this is one of his better dances & he is improving slowly but surely. His frame wasn't bad & his lines were pretty good. I just still feel like he could move a bit bigger.

Danielle & Pasha
Danielle & Pasha

Dance: Jive

Song: "Boy Meets World (Theme)" by Twenty Cent Crush & Phil Rosenthal

Dedicated to: her Boy Meets World co-star, Williams Daniels (AKA Mr. Feeny)

Judges' scores: 7, 7, 7, 8 = 29/40

My score: 7.5

This was fun & her kicks & flicks were nice. I kind of agree with Carrie Ann, though (I didn't until I watched a TikTok comparing all of their dances so far). Their dances are starting to feel a bit one note & some of the choreo are starting to seem a bit repetitive (I hate saying this because I love Pasha & his choreo but anyways...).

Alix & Val
Alix & Val

Dance: Contemporary

Song: "Sparks" by Coldplay

Dedicated to: her little sister, Izabel

Judges' scores: 8, 9, 9, 9 = 35/40

My score: 9

This was amazing & it was one of her stronger dances. It just didn't stand out to me like some of the other ones.

Those are all of the dances. Here are my rankings based on personal enjoyment:

  1. Robert & Witney's Contemporary

  2. Whitney & Mark's Contemporary

  3. Dylan & Daniella's Contemporary

  4. Jordan & Ezra's Viennese Waltz

  5. Alix & Val's Contemporary

  7. Scott & Rylee's Foxtrot

  8. Jen & Jan's Viennese Waltz

That's it for this week's DWTS recap.

Until next time,

~Brianna.
